Madhya Pradesh: Three Women Lose Life As Two Trucks Ram Into Each Other In Umaria; Had Taken Lift Moments Before, VISUALS Surface | X / IANS

Umaria (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic accident was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district which led to spontaneous death of three women on Thursday.

In fact, a head-on collision occurred between two trucks in the Birsinghpur Pali area of Umaria district on Thursday morning. The three women had taken a lift in one of the trucks just moments before the crash. 

Two other people were injured and have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Two deceased remain unidentified

According to information, one of the deceased has been identified as Parvati Bai, a resident of Budhana village under Janpad Panchayat Pali. The other two deceased remain unidentified at present.

According to Birsinghpur Pali police station in-charge Madan Lal Maravi, the accident occurred at Zero Road on National Highway 43. Both trucks were traveling at high speed, making it impossible for the drivers to avoid the collision. The trucks were heavily loaded with goods, which worsened the impact of the crash.

Police launch investigation

Reports suggest that the deceased women were laborers returning home after work. They had been waiting for transportation at the Birsinghpur Pali bus stop when a truck arrived. They took a lift in the truck, but unfortunately, after traveling a short distance, the accident took place, claiming their lives.

Police are investigating the case further and working to identify the remaining victims.
