Raw banana is best in terms of taste and health. While ripe bananas are preferred as sweet fruits, a variety of delicious and nutritious dishes are prepared from raw bananas. Many times children tantrums it, but if it is made in a different way, they will also eat it with fun.

Today we have brought you three funny dishes made from raw bananas – banana’s kofta, banana curry and banana bhaji. They are not only wonderful in taste, but are also beneficial for health. Come, know their easy and tasty recipe.

Raw banana coffee

Material:

  • Raw Banana – 250 grams
  • Potatoes – 200 grams
  • Arrowroot – 4 tablespoons
  • Tomato Puree – 200 grams
  • Clove – 4
  • Cinnamon – 1 piece
  • Green Cardamom – 3
  • Cumin – 2 teaspoons
  • Whole black pepper – 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger Paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger grated – 1 teaspoon
  • Green Chilli – 3
  • Oil – required
  • Salt – as per taste

Method:

  1. Boil bananas and potatoes and peel and mash. Prepare the mixture by adding arrowroot and salt to it.
  2. Divide this mixture into small parts and make round koftas.
  3. Heat the oil and fry the koftas until golden.
  4. Roast cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, cumin and black pepper and grind them coarsely.
  5. Heat some oil in a pan, add ginger paste, then add tomato puree and spices.
  6. Add a little water and cook gravy, then grate ginger and green chillies.
  7. Put koftas in the gravy and cook on low flame for a few minutes.
  8. Serve hot kofta curry with rice or paratha.

Raw banana curry

Material:

  • Raw Banana – 1 kg
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon
  • Water – as required
  • Oil – 2 teaspoons

For gravy:

  • Tomatoes – 4
  • Roasted peanuts – 4 cups
  • Turmeric Powder – 4 tablespoons
  • Red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil – 2 teaspoons
  • Kasuri Methi – ½ teaspoon
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala Powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Coriander leaf – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 4 teaspoons

Method:

  1. Peel the raw banana and cut it into small pieces and add salt and boil it in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the boiled banana and fry it in oil until it becomes light crispy.
  3. Grind tomatoes, peanuts, turmeric, red chillies and salt for gravy.
  4. Heat the oil in the pan, add puree and add kasoori fenugreek.
  5. When the oil starts separating from the gravy, add garam masala and coriander leaves.
  6. Boil water as required and then add banana pieces.
  7. Adjust salt and serve hot with roti or parantha.

Banana Bhaji (Crispy Style)

Material:

  • Raw Banana – 1
  • Besan – ½ cup
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Red chili powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – a pinch
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Oil – required

Method:

  1. Peel the raw banana and cut it into thin slices.
  2. Prepare a thick batter by mixing turmeric, red chili, asafetida and salt in gram flour.
  3. Heat the oil and fry the banana slices in gram flour.
  4. Remove the crispy bhaji on tissue paper and serve with your favorite chutney.
