Explosion also occurred near the airport, airspace closed. Three major blasts, which took place one after the morning of Thursday, May 8, created an atmosphere of chaos in the entire city in Lahore, a major city of Pakistan. Due to these blasts targeting army vehicles, the army immediately took to the streets and started controlling the situation. A stampede -like situation was seen across the city.
One of the blasts exploded near Lahore Airport, soon the airport was closed. Also, Pakistan’s aerspace has also been completely sealed due to security reasons. These explosions took place at a time when tension is at its peak after the terrorist attack between India and Pakistan in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
It is noteworthy that recently, on the night of 6 and 7 May, India had an airplane at terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK). After this, Pakistan had closed its aircraft for India, causing many foreign airlines to stop using Pakistan’s aircraft. On Wednesday, Pakistan gradually started opening its aircraft, but the blasts today forced it to shut down.
Earlier yesterday, on Wednesday, May 7, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) attacked a Pakistani army vehicle, killing at least 12 Pakistani soldiers.
