Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Three friends who had come to Ujjain from Bengaluru were going to the ISKCON temple in an e-rickshaw when a car hit the vehicle in front of a hotel on Harifatak Road. All three women were injured in the incident.

They were taken to Charak Hospital by another e-rickshaw driver. Jeevita, a native of Bengaluru, Pallavi wife of Pragatesh and Kiran were brought to the hospital in a seriously injured condition by e-rickshaw driver Sanjay, resident of Chanakyapuri.

Car driver fled

All three women have been treated and admitted to the ward. The women said that they had reached Ujjain on Sunday. They were staying at the ISKCON temple. On Monday morning they went to Mahakal temple for bhasma aarti darshan and at around 8 am they boarded an e-rickshaw to go back to ISKCON from there.

The vehicle was passing in front of Hotel Imperial on Harifatak Road when a speeding car hit it. After the incident, the car driver fled from the spot. Sanjay, who was driving an e-rickshaw, said that when he saw the injured women, he got his passengers off his vehicle and brought victims to the hospital.
