Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Three men in a car were arrested with MD drugs worth lakhs of rupees by the crime branch, an officer said on Friday. They also hit the vehicle of ACP and tried to flee from there. They are being questioned for their source of the drugs.
According to DCP (crime) Rajesh Tripathi, a team of crime branch was constituted for the arrest of the drugs peddlers/suppliers in the city. The team was searching for the drug suppliers when the officials spotted a car in a ground.
After seeing the police, the accused tried to flee and their vehicle hit the vehicle of an ACP but they were caught by the officials. The accused were identified as Wasim Khan of Bambai Bazar, Mohammad Imran and Dinesh Thapa, residents of Sanjay Nagar area of the city.
During a search, 14.34 grams of MD drugs were recovered from them. So far, the accused have not revealed their source of the drugs. The accused have been booked under section 8/22 of the NDPS Act. Two mobile phones and their car were also recovered from them.
