The DB Marg Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the theft of a Honda City car parked near a petrol pump in Girgaon. The accused have been identified as Pramod Gupta (24), Darshan Gogavale (25), and Ashish Satpute (24). Notably, Pramod Gupta already has two cases registered against him at the Dadar Police Station. The stolen car has been recovered from the accused.

According to the DB Marg Police, the complainant, Ruby Saxena (38), owns the Honda City. On the night of December 7, her driver, Shubham, parked the car near the HP petrol pump adjacent to Railway Bakery on R.R. Road, Girgaon, before heading home to Nalasopara.

In the early hours of December 9, around 4 a.m., Balram, who came to clean the car, discovered it was missing. He immediately informed Ruby Saxena, who subsequently lodged a theft complaint at the DB Marg Police Station.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered against unknown persons. The crime detection team, led by Police Officer Vilas Tupe, initiated an investigation. They reviewed CCTV footage from the area and conducted technical analysis, which led them to trace the suspects.

The police apprehended the three accused from Wadala, Lower Parel, and Parel. Investigations revealed that Pramod Gupta and Darshan Gogavale had stolen the car keys from the parking area near the petrol pump and fled. Approximately two hours later, the trio stole the car and drove away.

The stolen car has since been recovered, and the accused are now in custody. The investigation is ongoing to determine any further connections or involvement in other cases.
