Pune: Three Arrested For Selling Fake Foreign Liquor In Branded Bottles | Sourced
The State Excise Department has arrested three individuals for selling fake foreign liquor in branded bottles, officials said on Friday, adding they have seized two four-wheelers, fake liquor and other items worth ₹19.37 lakh.
According to the information received, these individuals used to park their four-wheelers at desolate places and fill fake foreign liquor in branded bottles. They used to then seal the bottles and sell them.
The Daund unit of the State Excise Department got a tip-off and laid a trap in Rajegaon on Wednesday and Khadki on Thursday, exposing the racket.
In the operation, two four-wheelers, fake liquor, fake seals and other items worth ₹19,37,785 were seized.
Further investigation is underway.
