Bhopal/Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A gang involved in stealing vehicles on demand was busted by city police in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. Three accused were arrested, and five stolen bikes were recovered. The gang was busted in the Kanch Mill Gate area of the city on Wednesday.

The gang used to steal the bikes from Gwalior and used to sell them in rural villages and areas of Rajasthan. The gang had sold over a dozen bikes that were stolen from the city. Police have registered a case and have begun further interrogation.

According to information, frequent vehicle thefts near Sanjay Nagar Bridge had been reported. To address this, a police team led by SI Harendra Singh Bhadauria and other officers was deployed for surveillance. Acting on a tip-off, police caught three suspects—Dinesh Goswami, Ramjivan Meena, and Bhawani Meena—red-handed while stealing a Bullet motorcycle near Kanch Mill. During questioning, the accused admitted to stealing motorcycles based on orders and revealed that they hid the stolen bikes under Sanjay Nagar Bridge.

Following their tip-off, four more bikes were recovered from the location. Further investigation revealed that the stolen bikes were sold in rural areas of Rajasthan. The gang would travel by train to Gwalior, steal up to four bikes, and transport them back together. A case has been registered, and further enquiries are underway to figure out the gang’s extent.
