Lucknow, 19 October (H.C.). A red run marathon was conducted on Saturday with the aim of making youth aware of HIV, AIDS infection and other sexual related diseases. In this marathon, about one thousand students raced for 10 km. The race started from Gate No. 2 of Janeshwar Mishra Park and again at gate number 6, gate number 2. In the end, the winners were honored with prizes and citation.
Uttar Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (UPSACS) Additional Project Director Ravindra Kumar and Lucknow University Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar Roy flagged off the race. In this race, the first three participants selected from 13 cluster headquarters participated in the Youth Fest program held in the past. Apart from this, students of National Service Scheme of Lucknow University also participated in this race.
UPSACS Joint Director Ramesh Srivastava said that the winning participants at the state level will get an opportunity to participate in the national level marathon competition. Dr. Amarendra Kumar, coordinator of the National Service Scheme of Lucknow University, Narendra Singh of UPSACS, Pawan Chandel, Anuj Dixit and senior officials were present in the program.

In the race between cluster level winners in the marathon, Abhishek of first winner Sitapur in the men’s category is Rs 10,000 cash and medal and gifts, Rahul of second winner Mau has seven thousand rupees, medals and gifts, medals and gifts, third winner Mau’s Gulshan Kumar of Mau has been given five thousand rupees and medals and gifts.
In the women’s category, first winner Mau’s Ankita Yadav is Rs 10,000 cash prize and medal and gift, the second winner Moradabad’s blessing was seven thousand rupees, medals and gifts, third winner Sitapur’s Khushanur was given five thousand rupees, medal and gift.
