Another Bengaluru Case: This Time In MP; Man Makes Video Before Killing Self, Accuses Wife Of Harassment |

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 27-year-old man died by suicide after recording a video accusing his wife and in-laws of harassment in Raigarh district, police said on Tuesday. Ravi Kashyap hanged himself from a ceiling fan at his house in Biaora on Sunday, police said.

Biaora city police station incharge Virendra Dhakad said Kashyap accused his wife and in-laws of harassing him in a video shot on his mobile phone. He said action would be taken after investigation. He also accused in-laws of mentally harassing him and said he had made every possible effort to bring his wife back, but she wanted to live alone.

In the video surfaced on social media, he alleged that his wife would visit her parents every 15 days and would return after requests. After returning, she would quarrel with his family. And whenever he visited his in-laws’ house, they would torture him.

For past five days, he had been requesting his in-laws to send his wife back but the wife and in-laws paid no heed and insulted him. Finally, he took the extreme step. This case comes on the heels of a similar case in Bengaluru, which made headlines.

Atul Subhash and Nikita Singhania were married in 2019. Their son was born in 2020. In 2021, Nikita Singhania left the couple’s Bengaluru home after an altercation.

In 2022, she filed a case against Subhash and his family members. After two years of bitter squabbles, Subhash died by suicide at his Bengaluru flat on December 9. He accused wife of harassment leading to his death.
