The Bangladesh Cricket Board is once again in the discussion, where Bangladeshi cricketer Tauheed Heart has been banned for four matches. The 24 -year -old has so far played 67 matches in limited overs cricket for Bangladesh and is currently leading the Mohammedan Sporting Club in Bashundhara Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.

Heart fined

The heart was first banned for a match, but he was suspended after several players including veteran Bangladeshi player Tamim Iqbal raised their voice against the ban. He was found guilty of violation of the code of conduct for players and associate staff.

According to the rules of DPDCL 2024-25, the match referee Akhtar Ahmed has imposed a fine of ten thousand rupees on him and has also added a demerit point to his account.

Heart was accused of not listening to the umpire.

He was accused of disagreeing during the match by field umpires Mirujamam Tinku and Ali Armaan Rajon, third umpire Muhammad Kamruzamman and fourth umpire ATM Ikram during the match. The BCB said in a statement on Saturday, “Heart has denied the allegations and decided to compete in full disciplinary hearing.” But even after this, he failed to attend the hearing in the dressing room of the umpires.

The Bangladesh batsman has been convicted of Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the BCB Code of Conduct, which is related to disagreeing with the umpire’s decision during the match. There is a minimum warning for the crime of level 1 and a maximum fine of Rs 40,000 or a provision of one or two demerit marks.
