When water is poured into the lamp kept in this temple, it turns into a sticky liquid and the lamp lights up.
Mother ordered this
It is said that earlier the lamp of this temple was lit with oil and ghee like other temples, but Mataji appeared to the priest in a dream and ordered him to light the lamp with river water. After which the priest did the same and one day filled the lamp with water from the river and lit the wick. Ever since people came to know about this miracle, many people come to this temple every day to see this miracle.
Lamps are not lit in Saavan
Lamps are not lit in this temple during the rainy season. During monsoon, the temple gets submerged due to rise in the water level of Kalisingh river. Due to which it is not possible to worship here. After this the water goes down from the temple and Shardiya Navratri starts. Then the Akhand Jyot is lit again in the temple. Which blooms till the rainy season of the next year.
