Anant Ambani, Director of Reliance Industries Limited, has undertaken a sacred journey (padyatra) from Jamnagar to Dwarka, the holy city of Lord Krishna. Known for his deep devotion and spirituality, Anant has chosen to celebrate his 30th birthday in a unique and reverent manner, by seeking the blessings of Lord Dwarkadhish. His spiritual trek spans approximately 140 kilometers and has now entered its fifth day. Depending on the pace, he is expected to reach Dwarka within the next two to four days.

Speaking to reporters during his journey, Anant Ambani emphasized his unwavering faith in Lord Dwarkadhish. He shared that before embarking on any task, he always prays to the deity, believing that such devotion ensures success without obstacles. Encouraging the youth, he urged them to place their trust in Lord Dwarkadhish, stating, “When God is present, there is nothing to worry about.”

Why is Anant Ambani walking towards Dwarka?

Derived from Sanskrit, Padyatra consists of two aprts, ‘pad’ meaning foot and ‘yatra’ meaning journey. Padyatra is a sacred journey undertaken by devotees to express their faith, seek spiritual enlightenment, or fulfill religious vows. In Hinduism, walking long distances to temples is considered an act of devotion and penance, reflecting the seeker’s dedication to God. The Ambani family has always been devotees of lord Dwarkadhish and have embodied their spirituality in all their personal and public acts.

Many believe that walking towards any holy temple, purifies the soul, strengthens one’s connection with the divine, and brings peace and blessings. By undertaking such a journey, devotees detach from worldly comforts and focus on inner reflection, discipline, and devotion.

Padyatra is done not to expect anything from the lord but to completely surrender to him in faith and devotion. The walk in itself is a spiritual journey and a testament to an individual to go beyond their physical limitations. Anant Ambani’s padyatra to Dwarka is his form of devotion he’s offering the lord. Dwarka is considered a sacred city and the capital of Lord Krishna’s kingdom, making the temple a focal point for devotion. Recieving lord Dwarkadhish’s blessing on his birthday will mark the end of Anant Ambani’s padyatra.

The route and security arrangements

Anant Ambani commenced his padyatra from Moti Khavdi in Jamnagar and covers approximately 10-12 kilometers each night. Given his high-profile status, his journey is safeguarded by Z+ security and local police personnel. This spiritual walk reflects not only his personal devotion but also serves as an inspiration to many who revere Lord Krishna.

Anant Ambani’s padyatra is set to culminate at the revered Dwarkadhish Temple, where he will mark his 30th birthday on April 10 with prayers and offerings. His commitment to celebrating this milestone in a deeply spiritual manner showcases his devotion and respect for tradition.

This sacred journey highlights his personal faith and reverence for Lord Krishna while also reinforcing the significance of spiritual discipline in modern life.
