S Jaishankar said that the process of exile by the US and implementation is done through immigration and customs enforcement. This system is in force since 2012. The Foreign Minister said that Indian immigrants are stranded under inhuman conditions. People living illegally are sent back to their country. Many of our citizens wrongly reached America. Illegal immigrants were to be brought back. This is not the first time he has been brought here.
He further said that it is the responsibility of all countries that if their citizens are found to be illegally living abroad, they should be brought back. S Jaishankar said, “We are interacting with the US government to ensure that there is no mistreatment of those returning.”
