LIC Bima Sakhi Scheme: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched LIC’s Bima Sakhi scheme on December 9, 2024 for women empowerment. This scheme has received tremendous response within 1 month. Within the last one month, more than 50 thousand women have registered themselves for this scheme. LIC Bima Sakhi Scheme is a 10th pass scheme designed to empower and empower women aged between 18 to 70 years.
What is Bima-Sakhi plan of LIC?
Under this scheme, women who have passed 10th class will be given special training to become LIC agents. Trend Bima Sakhi-Women will get LIC salary or stipend for the first three years. After completing training, women can work as LIC agents. On posting, you will get a chance to become a Development Officer in LIC.
14,000 women sold policies
LIC said in a statement that after completion of one month of the launch of the scheme, the total enrollment figure for Bima Sakhi has reached 52,511. Of these, 27,695 Bima Sakhis have been given appointment letters to sell policies and 14,583 Bima Sakhis have started selling policies.
There will be one Bima Sakhi in every Panchayat of the country
LIC Managing Director and CEO Siddharth Mohanty said- Our intention is to recruit at least one Bima Sakhi in every Panchayat of the country within a year. LIC is strengthening the Bima Sakhi flow by providing women with the right skills and empowering them with digital tools.”
Target of 2 lakh Bima Sakhi
LIC aims to appoint two lakh Bima Sakhis in the next three years. 10th pass women aged between 18 to 70 years are eligible to apply.
How much stipend will you get?
Under LIC’s Bima Sakhi scheme, women will get a stipend of Rs 7000 per month in the first year. Rs 6000 in the second year and Rs 5 thousand in the third year. Additionally, women agents can earn commission based on their insurance policies.
These people will not get benefit from the scheme
Relatives of existing agents or employees will not be eligible for recruitment as MCA. Relatives will include the following family members – including spouse, children (whether dependent or not), adopted and stepchildren, parents, brothers, sisters and immediate in-laws.
Retired employees of the Corporation or former agents seeking re-appointment will not be given agency under the MCA scheme.
Existing agents cannot apply for recruitment as MCA.
