Team India’s fast bowler Varun Aaron has announced his retirement from international cricket. Varun made his debut in 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Varun played 9 ODIs and 9 Test matches for India. During this period the fast bowler took a total of 29 wickets.

 

Varun was known for his pace, but due to frequent injuries he kept being in and out of the team. Varun first came into limelight during the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2010-11, when he bowled the ball at a speed of 153 kmph.

Varun announced his retirement

Varun Aaron, who entered international cricket under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, has announced his retirement. Varun was once counted among the fastest bowlers of the Indian team. But due to continuous injuries his career could not last long. He made his debut for India in 2011. Varun played a total of 9 ODI matches for Team India and took a total of 11 wickets during this period. This fast bowler took a total of 18 wickets in Test cricket.

 

 

 

Career ended due to injury!

Varun Aaron has been troubled by injuries throughout his career. Due to injury, Varun kept in and out of the Indian team. But Varun performed well for Jharkhand in domestic cricket. Varun played a total of 66 first-class matches and during this period the fast bowler took a total of 173 wickets. Whereas in List-A cricket, Varun took 141 wickets in 87 matches. Varun played 95 matches in T-20 cricket and took a total of 93 wickets.

Many teams have participated in IPL

Varun Aaron was also seen playing for many teams in the IPL. He made his debut in the Indian Premier League in 2011. Varun took 44 wickets in total 52 matches played in this league. But after the year 2022, Varun did not get a chance to show his talent in IPL. In this league, he was seen playing for many big teams including Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans.
