SL vs AUS: The first test match started from 27 December. In which the South African team, which came to bat, was out for 191 runs in the first innings. In reply, Sri Lanka’s batting was very poor and the entire team was out for 42 runs in about 13.5 overs. Except 2 batsmen, no one could reach double digits while 5 batsmen could not even open their account. In this way, the Sri Lankan team made a shameful record of its lowest score in the history of Test cricket. An unwanted record of the last 100 years was also registered in the name of Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka holds the shameful record of being all out on the fewest number of balls in the history of Test cricket in the last 100 years. Earlier in 1924, in the Edgbaston Test match against England, the South African team was out for just 30 runs. In which he faced 75 balls. Now Sri Lanka has broken this record.

South African bowler created history

South African bowler Marco Johnson played a big role in defeating Sri Lanka by 42 runs. Who alone took 7 batsmen to the pavilion. He took 7 wickets for 13 runs in just 6.5 overs and equaled the 100-year-old record of Test cricket. Yanasan dismissed 7 Sri Lankan batsmen in about 41 balls. With this, he became the second bowler in the world to take a total of 7 wickets in an innings of a Test match. He compared him with Australian bowler Hugh Trumble. Hugh Trumble had sent seven England batsmen to the pavilion in 41 balls in an innings of a Test in 1904.

It is noteworthy that Marco Jansen will be seen playing for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025. Yanas was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 7 crore in the mega auction of IPL 2025. Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings team jumped with joy after seeing Yanson’s performance.
