Bangladesh is currently burning in communal fire. Hindus are being attacked continuously. A big statement has come from America. In which it is said that the Biden government has not paid much attention to Bangladesh. But now Trump is returning to the White House. Johnny Moore, former commissioner of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), said that the US Biden government has not paid much attention to Bangladesh. The present times are an existential threat not only to the minorities of Bangladesh but also to the entire country. But now Trump is coming.
He said that Donald Trump will take office with his best team. His team adheres to American values and sees India as an ally. Moore said that he is surprised that the current US administration does not pay much attention to Bangladesh. But the truth is that the government is about to change in America. Whose foreign policy will be unmatched. But I can say that Trump is returning to the White House and his team, imbued with American values, will work for a better future. Trump’s team sees India as an important ally. At present there are more than 50 wars going on around the world.
It is understood that America’s stand was asked amid violence against minorities in Bangladesh. He was asked what would make the Trump government different from the Biden government in such a situation? On which he said that there is no such challenge in the world which cannot be solved.
“I can assure you that religious freedom was the top human rights priority during Trump’s first term,” he said. In many ways it was the center of our foreign policy. This time also you will get to see something similar. You will see cooperation between America and India like never before.
Let us tell you here that Hindu religious leader Chinmoy Krishna Das was arrested on 25 November on charges of treason. Bangladesh court did not grant him bail and sent him to jail. After this, Chinmoy Das supporters took to the streets and staged violent protests. The Indian Foreign Ministry also issued a statement expressing deep concern over the arrest of Chinmay Das in Bangladesh and denial of bail. This case comes amid the continuous targeting of Hindus and other minorities by extremist elements in Bangladesh. There have been several cases of arson and looting of minority homes and businesses, as well as theft and vandalism and desecration of Hindu temples.
