If you are thinking of buying land, hurry up as new collector rates can be implemented from April 1, 2025. This can also increase the prices of land in some places. Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh has sought objections and suggestions from the public to determine the proposed collector rates (2025-26) of all the tehsils and sub-tehsils of the district.
Proposal of new collector rates and suggestions from public
There are only 10 days left to end the current financial year, and there are plans to implement the new collector rates in the district from April. The proposal has been made public on 21 March on the portal of District Karnal https://karnal.gov.in. In this, the prices of land located from the city to the village, especially highway and main routes, have been increased. These proposed collector rates will be applicable from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, although they are not yet final.
Process of objections and suggestions
The Deputy Commissioner has urged the public that they can send any objection or suggestion in writing to the Deputy Commissioner Office and the concerned Tehsil or Sub-Tehsil office by 26 March 2025. No complaint or suggestion will be under consideration after 26 March. After this, on 27 March 2025, the assessment committee will solve all obtained objections and suggestions. After this, new collector rates will be implemented from 1 April 2025.
