Tension between India and Pakistan is increasing after the Pahalgam terror attack , Pakistan is repeatedly threatening war and atomic bombs. In such a situation, United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres has expressed concern. He has advised both countries not to join the military conflict.
Military conflict can lead to uncontrolled: United Nations
Guterres appealed to India and Pakistan to exercise restraint, saying that ‘tension between India and Pakistan is again at its peak after many years’. I condemn the Pahalgam attack. Attacks on citizens should never be tolerated. Criminals should be legally punished. At this important time, both countries need to avoid especially military conflicts. The situation may be out of control due to military conflict. This has been my constant message in my conversation with both countries. There is no doubt that military conflict is not a solution. Any initiative to reduce stress will be supported by the United Nations.
