Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Two thieves targeted a grocery mart and made away with packets of rice, flour and chocolates, besides Rs 25k cash, in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara on Sunday. Total theft amounted to Rs 90,000.
The incident was captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the store. The pictures show the miscreants ransacking the cash drawer and shelves of the store.
Police have registered a case against two accused and began the investigation.
According to information, Abdul Karim runs a Central Mart grocery shopping store on the main road of Satyam Shivam Colony of Chhindwara. He shut down the store around 10 pm on Saturday and went back to his house.
When he came back to the store the next morning, he saw the lock was broken and cash worth 25K and food items like flour, rice, and chocolates were missing. The total amount of cash and food items would be approximately Rs 90,000. He then checked the CCTV footage, where he saw two thieves enter the store around 4:30 am and later run away with the items.
Abdul then went to the police station and complained. The police then registered a case against the two unknown accused after checking the CCTV footage. Further investigations are underway.
Reportedly, the store is located in front of the residence of the BJP District President of Chhindwara.
