Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Thieves dressed in women’s clothing broke into four shops in Chhatarpur on Friday.
The whole incident was captured on CCTV installed inside the shops.
In the CCTV clip, one of them was seen wearing a salwar suit while committing the crime.
According to information, the theft took place at Amrit Dairy, Shri Balaji Borewell, Srijan NGO, and Mahakal Metro & Home, all located on Gulganj Road.
The thieves broke the locks and stole cash, an induction stove, a battery, and other valuables.
₹40K stolen from piggy bank
One of the shop owners, Din Dayal Vishwakarma, found his hardware store’s lock broken in the morning. The thieves took ₹40,000 in cash kept in a piggy bank, along with an ATM card and other items.
Bijawar police station in-charge Kamaljeet Singh stated that the CCTV footage clearly captured two thieves breaking into the shops. What stood out in the video was that one of them was dressed in a salwar suit, possibly as a disguise.
The police have launched an investigation into the case and are actively searching for the accused to bring them to justice. Efforts are being made to gather more evidence and identify the suspects at the earliest.
