India Steel 2025 Marathi News: If you want to make India strong like steel, then work together, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the industry on Thursday. He was speaking while addressing the India Steel 2025 program online. According to PTI, in this speech, the Prime Minister said that the country needs to strengthen global partnership to secure raw materials to strengthen India like steel and speed up beneficial changes.

Security of raw materials is a big concern

The Prime Minister also called for starting the extraction of iron ore from new, unused mines to increase steel production. Describing steel as an emerging area, Modi highlighted the need to increase its production, which is the backbone of development. He called for adopting new procedures, innovating and considering reduced coal imports.

 

Prime Minister Modi said that the safety of raw materials is a matter of major concern. We still depend on imports, cooking coal and imports for manganese. And that’s why we have to strengthen global partnerships, secure supply lines and focus on upgrading technology.

Options should be found for better use of reserved funds.

The Prime Minister said that the country should also consider options such as coal gasization and better use of its reserves to reduce coal imports. The Prime Minister said that the industry should be ready for the future and adopt new processes, new levels and new scope. The target is to increase the country’s steel production capacity from 179 million tonnes to 300 million tonnes by 2030 in 2023-24. Also, during the same period, the target is to increase the per capita steel consumption from the current 98 kg to 160 kg.

New opportunities for steel sector

Modi said that the pace of development in roads, railways, airports, ports and pipelines is creating new opportunities for the steel sector. The increasing number of large projects will increase demand for high quality steel. The steel used in the first indigenous aircraft carrier Vikrant and Chandrayaan Mission was constructed locally. The Prime Minister said that the country’s ambition is to make modern and big ships while monitoring the export market. Such tasks will require high quality steel.

The Prime Minister emphasized that India is now not only focusing on domestic development but is also preparing for global leadership. He said that the world now sees India as a reliable supplier of high quality steel. He reiterated the importance of maintaining world -class standards in steel production and continuously improving capabilities.

He emphasized that improvement in logistics, developing multi-model transport networks and reducing cost will help India become a global steel center. The Prime Minister highlighted that India provides a platform to expand steel abilities and convert ideas into implementable solutions. He concluded his address by wishing all the participants and called for a collective effort to build a flexible, revolutionary and steel and steel.
