Maharashtra politics: The political atmosphere in Maharashtra is currently hot, the parties involved in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) are praising the parties involved in the BJP -led Mahayuti. The then Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde boycotted several government meetings. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered an inquiry into some decisions taken during Shinde’s Chief Minister’s tenure. This step has been appreciated by the Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) for this. Some incidents that took place in Delhi have also warmed political discussions in the state. It also shows that everything is not going well in both alliances in Maharashtra.
CM Devendra Fadnavis praised in Saamana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were praised in the mouthpiece Saamana of Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction). While Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has been targeted. It is written in the Saamana, ‘The sacred work of ending the black exploits done during Shinde’s Chief Minister’s tenure has begun. Devendra Fadnavis has taken a good step by snatching the right to appoint Special Affairs Officer (OSD) and Private Secretary (PS) from ministers.
Saamana wrote, ‘The Chief Minister completely rejected the names of PA and OSD sent by the ministers to the Chief Minister for approval. These 16 people were involved in brokerage and fixing in the previous Shinde government as OSD of ministers. Fadnavis rejected these fixers. The powers of appointing private assistants and special work officers (OSDs) of ministers were taken away. The role of the Chief Minister in not appointing fixers is appropriate. Out of these 16 fixers, 12 fixers were named by the ministers of Shinde faction. “What do ministers need such fixers?”
It was written in the mouthpiece, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role is to eradicate corruption. Three years ago, Shinde’s rule in Maharashtra was born from fixing. As a result, a large number of fixers and brokers emerged in the state. The present Chief Minister has decided to cut this crop.
‘Congratulations Deva Bhau’
Earlier, Saamana praised Chief Minister Fadnavis. In the first week of January, an editorial was published in Saamana, ‘Congratulations Ho Deva Bhau’. Actually, Devendra Fadnavis is also called ‘Deva Bhau’. In this editorial, it was written, “Naxalism increased in Gadchiroli due to poverty.” The youths started spreading terror and panic by taking guns in their hands. Policemen were also killed and children were also killed. Now if the Chief Minister decides to change this picture in Gadchiroli, then we congratulate him. We hope that Fadnavis will do something new in Gadchiroli and will bring changes in the lives of tribals.
Don’t take me lightly: Eknath Shinde
Significantly, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said in Nagpur, Mumbai on 21 February, ‘When you (opposition) took light on 2022, we changed the situation. We changed the government. We brought a government with the will of the common people. In my first speech in the assembly, Devendra Fadnavis said that we will get more than 200 seats and we got 232 seats. So do not take me lightly, people who want to understand this signal, they understand it and I will keep doing their work. ‘
