Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini on Tuesday announced tax exemption for the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’. Praising this film, he said that this film brings the truth in front of everyone.
Talking to the media, CM Saini said that this film shows the painful truth of Godhra train fire. He said that the makers have presented this subject with sensitivity and dignity.
Sabarmati Report is directed by Dheeraj Sarna and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan. Raashi Khanna and Riddhi Dogra also play important roles in the film.
The truth of the incident came to light
The film is based on the Sabarmati Express train accident that took place in Godhra on 27 February 2002. CM Saini said that this is a tribute to the 59 people who lost their lives during this incident. The truth of this incident has come to light through this film and I congratulate the makers and the entire team for bringing out this truth.
Haryana Cabinet saw ‘Sabarmati Report’
CM Nayab Saini along with his entire cabinet watched the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ at DT Mall, Chandigarh IT Park on Tuesday. Union Minister and former Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal was also present with him. During this time, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor and actress Riddhi Dogra were also present in the program.
PM Modi also praised
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded ‘The Sabarmati Report’ as an important film on the 2002 Godhra train coach burning incident. He commented that it is good for the truth to come out.
The Prime Minister was replying to a post by a user on X who praised the film and tagged him with a video of the film’s trailer. The film was released on Friday.
He said that it is good that the truth is coming out and that too in such a way that the common people can see it. A fake story can only last for a limited time. Ultimately, the facts always emerge.
Many big personalities also praised this film
Many big personalities of the country have praised the film. Actor Vikrant Massey recently met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his residence in Lucknow. Yogi Adityanath shared a picture with the actor on Instagram on Tuesday and wrote that today film actor Shri Vikrant Massey paid a courtesy visit at the government residence in Lucknow. Vikrant also shared the same picture on his Instagram handle and thanked the UP CM.
