Sonakshi sinha on religious conversion: In an interview, Sonakshi said, ‘We never thought about religion. We are two people who loved each other and wanted to get married. Zaheer never imposed his religion on me and I never imposed my religion on him. We respect each other’s culture. I was married under the Special Marriage Act, so I did not need to change my religion.
Married under Special Marriage Act
He said, “The best way for us was to get married under the Special Marriage Act.” I remained the same as a Hindu girl and Zaheer was a Muslim boy. Marriage means just two people to love and come together. There was no question of changing religion between us. Love was the most important thing for us. The special thing is that Sonakshi and Zaheer have chosen the same date for their marriage from the day they started dating each other 7 years ago.
Both maintain their customs and traditions.
Sonakshi said, “We respect each other’s family traditions.” He follows his customs and I follow my customs. This mutual understanding and respect is the identity of a successful relationship. Talking about a career, Sonakshi appeared in the horror comedy film ‘Kakuda’ last year, in which she was accompanied by Ritesh Deshmukh and Saqib Salim. The film was released on the OTT platform G5.
