The Pak woman, who has been living in India for 42 years, refused to go to Pakistan, husband said- ‘Will live here, will die here’

Aligarh News: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, an order to send back Pakistani citizens back has raised the concerns of a family settled in Aligarh. According to reports, Pakistani citizens living in the state are to be sent back by April 30. But 60 -year -old Bilkis Begum, who has been living with her Indian husband and children for the last 42 years in Aligarh, is not ready to go to Pakistan. She and her husband Tahir Hussain say the same – “We will live here and die here too.”

42 years old, now fear of separation?

Tahir Hussain, a resident of Aligarh, married Bilkis Begum, a resident of Islamabad (Pakistan), in 1982, 42 years ago, in 1982. Since then, Bilkis has been living in India on long term visa (long -term visa). The couple have 6 children, out of which three are also married and now they have also become grandparents/grandparents. His whole world is now in India. But according to the alleged order, 30 April is the last date for his return to Pakistan, which is not ready to accept Bilkis.

Embassy plead and husband’s resolve

Bilkis Begum is traveling around the embassy to solve her difficulty and appealing to the authorities to find a way out. At the same time, her husband Tahir Hussain’s pain and anger is clearly reflected. He says, “Looking at the antics of Pakistan, if there is a need, I am ready to stand on the border with a rifle myself. Will die, but will not go to Pakistan. Everything is here, so why go to Pakistan?”

‘Those who had to go, they went away’

Tahir Hussain says passionately, “Those who had to go to Pakistan went to the time of partition. We had to stay here, so we stopped on our land. Now why are we being sent in this old age? We will die, but will not go to Pakistan. If you have to fight, I will fight, but will not let my wife go to Pakistan.”

The case is the story of a common family stuck between bureaucratic orders and human emotions, whose house, family and the whole world have been India for the last four decades.
