Waqf Bill: The Waqf Amendment Bill has passed from both houses of Parliament after a continuous debate of more than 12 hours till late night within two days. However, now efforts to stop it can begin. The opposition, including all Muslim organizations, is constantly opposing it. In such a situation, they now have three main options left. That is, the support of the court, the movement on the road and political pressure. Now the question is whether this bill can be stopped by challenging in court or can the government be forced to bow down by protesting on the streets? Apart from these questions, questions are also being raised about Bihar elections whether the displeasure of the Muslim leaders of Nitish Kumar’s party will become a lifeline for the opposition?

In fact, court, agitation and internal pressure… These three arrows are now left, which have put opposition parties and Muslim organizations on the way to stop the Waqf Bill which has already passed the Waqf Bill in the country. It has been started by Congress and Asaduddin Owaisi. Congress MP from Kishanganj in Bihar Mohammad Javed and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi have filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Waqf Bill. Owaisi and Congress MPs have filed a petition in the Supreme Court to stop the bill, which was passed by 288 votes against the opposition’s 232 in the Lok Sabha and 128 votes in the Rajya Sabha against 95 of the opposition. He argues that this bill is against the basic principles and civil rights of the Constitution.

How much relief will you get from the Supreme Court?

Now the question is whether the Opposition will be able to stop the bill with the help of the court, which will become a law with the President’s signature? Similarly, the opposition has filed petitions in the Supreme Court against the independence of Article 370 and CAA in Jammu and Kashmir, but every time the opposition has suffered a setback. So is the reason for going to the Supreme Court is a Muslim vote, so that it can be shown that the fight was fought? Along with this, the question is whether there is any preparation to stop the Waqf Bill through the movement with the court? Protests were organized by burning effigies in Ludhiana. Slogans were raised against the Waqf Bill. Hundreds of people took to the streets of Kolkata to protest against the Waqf Bill. In view of the possibility of this demonstration, the police was on high alert at sensitive places in all cities of Uttar Pradesh. But no major demonstration was seen anywhere in Uttar Pradesh.

Along with the court and the movement, the third strategy of the opposition is related to more internal pressure politics on Nitish Kumar’s party. The reason is that the opposition believes that if the parties of Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu had not supported it, the BJP with 240 seats would not have passed this bill on its own. Now many opposition leaders are claiming that within 24 hours some Muslim leaders have left the JDU or raised questions, which can bring Nitish Kumar under pressure. On the other hand, JDU has made it clear that we will stand with BJP on the Waqf Bill.

These five JDU leaders left the party

Some Muslim leaders standing in Parliament in support of Nitish Kumar’s party bill resigned first. After that, some Muslim leaders of JDU themselves demanded the withdrawal of the bill, on the other hand Muslim religious leaders started saying that Nitish Kumar has betrayed him, so now Muslim voters will teach them a lesson. In response to all this, JDU says that no one knows the people who have left the party. It has been claimed that the favorite Muslims stand with the party. Meanwhile, the question is also arising whether Nitish Kumar, who has been in power for the last 20 years, has no idea whether Muslims are unhappy with the Waqf Bill for the last 20 years? State Secretary of JDU Minority Cell Mohammad Shahnawaz Malik, State General Secretary Mohammad Tabrej Siddiqui Alig, party member Mohammad Dilshan Raines from Bhojpur, former candidate Mohammad Qasim Ansari and former JDU youth vice -president Tabrej Hasan resigned from the party’s stand on Waqf Bill. Now JDU says that who knows who resigned?

Will Muslim leaders be able to put pressure on Nitish Kumar?

This politics can also be understood from the fact that JDU Muslim leaders themselves are going to hold a press conference on Saturday for damage control. In fact, RJD, who holds a large share in Muslim votes in Bihar, feels that this is an opportunity. Where Nitish’s remaining Muslim votes can be taken away. That is why Nitish’s RSS uniform picture can be made a fraudulent political attack on Muslims by making Chetish Kumar on him. And then he also claimed that Nitish was ill, hence he supported the bill. Suddenly the entire opposition feels that Nitish Kumar should either raise his conscience by pressuring his own Muslim leaders or cut the Muslim votes of JDU, but the opposition probably does not know this mathematics of Nitish Kumar yet.

Nitish Kumar takes every step in politics carefully. Did Nitish already guess the displeasure of Muslim votes? The reason for this can be understood by the fact that the total number of Muslims in Bihar is 17.7%, while the number of Pasmanda Muslims in the state is 12.9%. The number of pasmandas in the Muslim population is 73%. Nitish Kumar feels that the Pasandama community will come with him. The second reason is that, if we look at the results of the 2020 assembly elections, there are a total of 47 assembly seats in Bihar where the share of Muslim votes is more than 20%. In which NDA won 23 seats in 2020, the Grand Alliance got a big Muslim vote but still its seats were less than the NDA. Here Nitish’s mathematics is believed that the division of Muslim votes will benefit the NDA.
