Contracts will be open 24 hours in Uttarakhand
On the occasion of New Year in Uttarakhand, lakhs of people from nearby states come to celebrate New Year holidays and celebrations. That’s why here the government has ordered to keep liquor contracts open for 24 hours from 30 December to 2 January.
Not only this, keeping in view the needs of tourists, the state government has also given permission to all hotels, restaurants and dhabas etc. to provide 24-hour service from December 30 to January 2.
Significantly, people from Delhi and many areas of Uttar Pradesh reach popular tourist destinations like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun, Mussoorie, and Nainital in Uttarakhand to celebrate the New Year.
Restaurants will open 24 hours soon in Delhi
In the midst of this New Year celebration, a decision has been taken to allow all the restaurants built in 5-star and 4-star hotels in Delhi to be open for 24 hours soon. The government is considering relaxing the license standards for all this, while this will also give a boost to Delhi’s night life.
Lieutenant Governor of Delhi V.K. Saxena had advocated easing the license requirements for restaurants and eateries in November itself. A high level committee was also formed for this. Now this committee was asked to examine the existing rules and suggest ways to speed up the licensing process.
Mast night life will be in Delhi from 26 January
Delhi government officials say that after the report of the committee, several rounds of meetings have been held to liberalize the rules. Now the process of making it easier will be completed in 3 weeks i.e. from January 26, hotels in Delhi will be able to take advantage of this new license system.
Also, all restaurants in 5-star and 4-star hotels within the airport, railway station and ISBT premises will be open for 24 hours after payment of necessary charges. Apart from this, restaurants in 3-star hotels can be opened till 2 am. For everyone else, this time limit will be till 1 am.
