34 -year -old Karan Kumar contacted a lawyer after receiving a notice of Rs 33.88 crore from the Income Tax Department. His lawyer told Karan that, ‘Karan’s Aadhaar card and PAN card have been used by a company, which has transacted millions of rupees in petroleum manufacturer companies and steel goods in Delhi in the name of Karan. The name of this company is Mahavir Enterprises. He said, “After receiving the notice, I met the Income Tax officials and he advised me to register an FIR.”
Karan Kumar is a contract employee in Khair branch of SBI. He later lodged a police complaint in this case. Therefore, the police has started investigating the entire case.
Similarly, a general laborer named Mohit Kumar also received an IT notice of Rs 3.87 crore, so he later approached a GST lawyer, the lawyer told Mohit Kumar, ‘Amit’s Aadhaar card is used by a company named MK Traders. According to IT records, the MK Traders Company was doing all the transactions since 2020. I earn only Rs 8,500 per month, which I use to support my elderly parents.
He said, “I am very worried after receiving this notice.” I contacted the Income Tax officials who sent the notice. However, no one responded to me. How do my documents reach these people? I had submitted my documents for a job in Delhi.
