87% of people in western India believe that sleep disturbances, especially in children, are directly affecting their family health and prosperity. This important conclusion has come from a survey report presented by Goodnight of Godrej Consumer Products Limited, the leading brand of domestic pesticides in India on the occasion of World Malaria Day. The All India Survey, presented by Gudnight under the title ‘A mosquito, countless danger’, was conducted by the market research firm Yugav. It assessed the risk of public opinion and mosquito -borne diseases. This concern was expressed in all parts. 87% in North and Eastern India and 86% in South India agree with this approach.
According to this study, lack of sleep in Indian homes has become a matter of concern. The adults lose about 2 hours of sleep every night, while the children sleep about 4 hours less than their requirement. This long -term reduction of sleep weakens the immune system, increases stress levels, and increases sensitivity to diseases spread by mosquitoes, especially malaria and dengue.
In western India, mosquitoes have become the main reason for disturbing adults. About 61% of people from different age groups attributed mosquito infections for restless sleep. Its effect on children is more serious, parents say that the sounds of mosquitoes bites and continuously in their ears have become a major cause of disturbance in sleep. It is more than the stress of disease or studies.

Commenting on Gudnight’s report, Dr. Kirti Sabnis, an infectious pathologist at Fortis Hospital in Mulund, Mumbai, said, “It is important to understand that a mosquito also has the ability to spread life-threatening diseases.
