Stock Market Closing Bell: Trump’s 90-day tariff relief has a huge impact on the stock market. The Sensex rose 1310.11 points to close at 75157.26 after a gain of 1620.18 points in the day -long trading. Investors’ capital has increased by 7.81 lakh crores. The BSE market cap was Rs 1,499.85 crore on Wednesday. It has increased from Rs 393.82 lakh crore to Rs 401.54 lakh crore today.
On Wednesday, the global stock markets saw a surprising increase in the global stock markets after Trump gave 90 days discount from implementing mutual tariffs on more than 70 countries. Due to which the Indian stock market also saw a rise. This relief from Trump has raised hopes of bilateral trade agreement between India and the United States. India has been given 90 days to sign the agreement. However, on the other hand, there are clouds of global uncertainty due to the deteriorating trade war between China and the US.
Market’s prevalence positive
The market trend in BSE was seen positive today. Out of a total of 4079 shares, 3107 shares closed up rapidly. While only 853 shares closed down. Today, out of a total of 331 shares, 66 shares reached the highest level of the year in the upper circuit. On the other hand, 142 shares placed a lower circuit.
Bounce in metal shares
Trump’s tariff relief news today led to a jump in metal shares. The Nifty Metal Index increased by 4.5 percent. BSE Metal Index increased 4.29 per cent (1140.97 points). In which Hindalco closed 6.49 percent, JSL 6.30 percent, Tata Steel 4.87 percent, JSW Steel 4.71 percent and Coal India 4.48 percent.
Apart from metal, regional indexs such as electricity 2.64 percent, consumer durable 2.92 percent, capital goods 2.15 percent, auto 2.02 percent, telecommunications 2.76 percent, healthcare 2.11 percent and energy 2.51 percent increased.
