Ranchi, 20 September (HS). Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is org.zing the General Graduate Qualification Combined Competitive Examination on 21 and 22 September. The examination will be conducted in three shifts in 131 different centers of Ranchi district. The district administration is fully prepared to conduct a clean and malpractice-free examination.

Under the Jharkhand Competitive Examination Recruitment Prevention and Prevention of Unfair Means Act, if any candidate is caught cheating online or offline, he or she will be punished with a minimum of three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5 lakh. Also, if he has been punished for such an act in the past, the period of imprisonment will be at least seven years and the fine will not be less than Rs 10 lakh. The District Administration, Information and Public Relations Department is giving information about this by making mikes at various examination centers, hotels, lodges, railway stations, bus stands and other important places. All hotel and lodge owners have also been warned in this regard. If any suspicious activity is found in their premises, the entire responsibility will be of the concerned hotel and lodge owner and legal action will be taken against them. The District Administration has also appealed to the general public to conduct the examination in a clean and malpractice-free environment.

The residents of the district have been asked not to fall prey to any misconception or misleading information spread regarding the examination. The general public has been requested to inform the district administration about any suspicious activity. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Rahul Sinha and SSP Chandan Sinha have deputed magistrates along with police force and police officers to conduct a clean and malpractice-free examination.
