Directed by Shivam Nair, the film was released in theaters on 14 March. The film received good reviews from both the audience and the critics. According to trade reports, ‘The Diplomat’ did a turnover of more than Rs 50 crore at the box office. Interestingly, only Rs 20 crore was spent to make this film, which made the makers a good profit.
