Srinagar Navratri Representative: The Holy Amarnath Yatra, the place of faith for crores of devotees across the country, will start from 3 July 2025 this year. Every year millions of devotees participate in this pilgrimage to see Amarnath Swayambhu Shivling located in the snow-capped cave temple in Jammu and Kashmir. This year the yatra will run for 52 days and end on 9 August 2025.

Registration process starts for devotees

The online and offline registration process for the Amarnath Yatra has started from Monday (April 15, 2025). This registration can be done in more than 540 authorized bank branches across India and online registration facility has also been provided on the website of Amarnathji Shrine Board for more convenience of devotees. While registering for the pilgrimage, devotees will have to submit health certificate, identity card and complete preparation for the journey. Only devotees who fulfill the age limit, health criteria and other conditions will be allowed to visit this visit.

Trade by two traditional routes

The dates of this year were finalized at the 48th meeting of the Amarnath Shrine Board held at Raj Bhavan on 5 March under the chairmanship of Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. It was decided that like every year, this year also the yatra will start simultaneously from Pahalgam Marg in Anantnag district and Baltal Marg in Ganderbal district. The Pahalgam route is full of natural beauty despite being relatively long, while the Baltal route is small and slightly difficult, despite a sharp speed route. Devotees can reach Shri Amarnath cave by both routes.

Strong preparation for facilities and safety

Given the approximate crowd during the journey every year, the Amarnath Shrine Board has proposed a major improvement in facilities and management this year. Camps will also be set up for the devotees for transport, housing, medical facilities, food and water facilities, availability of toilets as well as rest. Also, the number of medical aid centers has also been increased keeping in mind the problems caused by the effect and height on the eyes due to weather. Apart from this, three -tier security arrangements have also been deployed by the Central Reserve Police Force, State Police and Army for the protection of pilgrims. Drone teams, CCTV monitoring and biometric verification system will be installed on each route.

Examination of trust and examination of system

The Amarnath Yatra is a symbol of faith, patience and discipline. The holy cave located at an altitude of 13,500 feet in the Himalayan mountains and the ice Shivling, which is built naturally every year, is a wonderful spiritual experience for devotees. This journey is not only a religious event, but also a major socio-religious event that brings people from different regions of the country together. This tests the efficiency of the administration, strictness of security and patience of the devotees.

Will last for 52 days

The Amarnath Yatra starting from July 3 is a precious festival in the religious tradition of India and this year it will run for 52 days. The government, shrine boards and security forces and the discipline and faith of devotees will make this pilgrimage successful. Each phase of the pilgrimage is a spiritual climb, where the devotee of Shiva moves forward with the whole community, not alone, praying to God – this is the real identity of the Amarnath Yatra.
