What are the benefits of this?

According to nutritionists, this drink made of barley helps to purify the body from within. This causes toxins to get out of the body. Along with this, if you are suffering from kidney stones or frequent UTIs or swelling in the body, then this drink can be very effective and beneficial. Barley water also contains essential minerals such as potassium, calcium and magnesium, which help to balance electrolytes in our body. Therefore, drinking barley water in summer can be beneficial.

 

How to make barley water (Ayurvedic method)

For this, you have to take two tablespoons of barley grains and two and a half to three cups of water. Additionally, if you want, you can also add basil leaves, lemon juice and a pinch of rock salt.

  • For this, first wash the barley well at least two or three times, so that all its dirt comes out.
  • Now add two and a half to three cups of water in a pan and add barley grains to it. Cook it on medium flame for 20-25 minutes until the water becomes light cloud and the barley is softened.
  • After this, turn off the gas and let the water cool slightly.
  • Then filter this water and put it in a cup.
  • To increase its taste, you can add lemon juice and rock salt to it.
  • If you regularly consume this drink, then you will definitely get good results.
