Thanekar Highlights Garbage Pile-Up In Manpada On X, Warns Of Strong Possibility Of Disease Outbreak In Thane | X|@SUNILK_KARMA
Thane: Thanekar raised a concern about the garbage pile-up on the road of Thane in a post on X on Sunday. He highlighted the issue by sharing a picture of the affected area, which include Tulsidham Road, Manpada, Thane West.
In the post, he expressed concern that if the situation continues, there is a strong possibility of disease spreading in Thane. He further stated that the entire city has become foul-smelling, with the unpleasant odor disturbing locals as they walk along the roads.

While elaborating in the post, Thanekar stated, “If this situation continues, there is a strong possibility of disease spreading in Thane! The entire city of Thane has become foul-smelling!”
Meanwhile,During a special “Drunk and Drive” campaign held by the Navi Mumbai Traffic Police for the Holi celebrations, 107 drivers were apprehended for driving under the influence.
The campaign took place on March 13 and 14 within the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate limits. “Checkpoints were set up at strategic locations, and breathalyzer tests were conducted to catch violators. All the offenders were detained, and appropriate legal action was taken,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Tirupati Kakade.
He also mentioned that the crackdown on drunk driving will be an ongoing effort. The police have continuously urged motorists to refrain from drinking and driving, as such behavior can result in fatal accidents.
