The Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Thane Police arrested two women agents and rescued four women, aged 20 to 24, from a flesh trade racket in Kalyan on Sunday. The police revealed that the agents operated by sending photos of the girls to customers’ mobile phones. Acting on a tip-off, the police learned that the flesh trade was being conducted on Adharwadi Road in the Lal Chowki locality of Kalyan.

Chetana Chaudhary, Police Inspector from the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell, stated, “We received reliable information about a flesh trade operation in Kalyan. After verifying the details, we sent a decoy customer to confirm the activity. Following this, we conducted the Panchanama, arrested two women agents, and rescued four women.”

During interrogation, the arrested agents disclosed the identity of an absconding male agent who has been operating in the flesh trade for the past four to five years. The agents revealed that they were working for him, and he was responsible for contacting customers, sending them photos, and arranging meetings with the girls.

An FIR has been registered against the accused at the Bazarpeth Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (143(1), 143(3), and 3(5)) and sections 4 and 5 of the Immoral Trafficking Act. The rescued women have been sent to a correction home in Ulhasnagar for rehabilitation.
