Jaipur News: The controversy of BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya entering a religious place and poster from Hawa Mahal seat in Jaipur, Rajasthan has caught fire. Following the BJP MLA’s statement, the police lathi -charged the protesters demanding the arrest of Balmukund Acharya in Johri Bazar on Saturday (April 26, 2025) amid tension in Jaipur.

Tension in Jaipur after BJP MLA’s statement

People took to the streets against the statement of BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya on Saturday in Jaipur’s Johri Bazaar. Police lathi -charged the people protesting in the jeweler market regarding the whole matter. The jeweler market area has been closed since then. The incident is that after the prayers of Asra, a large number of Muslim community people took to the streets and started demanding the arrest of MLA Balmukund Acharya.

According to the information received, people raised slogans and demanded their arrest, accusing BJP MLA Balmukund Acharya from Hawamahal assembly constituency of spoiling the atmosphere. While many videos of police lathi -charged on people have appeared on social media.

What did Balmukund Acharya say?

MLA Balmukund Acharya described the allegations of entering the religious site, putting disputed posters and raising inflammatory slogans as false and baseless. He said that he or any of his supporters did not enter the religious place nor raised any slogans. These posters were placed on the walls outside the religious site. Posters against terrorism and Pakistan were placed not only on the walls of the religious site but also in the surrounding area.

 

While the community of the religious site says, “Our anger is not about raising slogans against the enemy country, but an attempt was made to spoil the atmosphere by raising religious slogans outside the religious site.” The arrest of the MLA was demanded for this accused.
