News India Live, Digital Desk: Telecom sector india: According to the latest data from Teamlies Services, the Indian telecom industry has experienced softening of the contractual workforce in 2025, while continuing investing in young talents to meet its operational needs.
The level of atrition has been relatively stable over time, recorded 50.8 percent in FY 2021-22 and 50.3 percent in FY 2024-25. Karthik Narayan, CEO-Staffing of Teamlies Services, said, “Data reflects a stable re-re-regulation in the workforce of the telecom sector. While the amount of recruitment is being more measured, emphasis is on to include young, educated professionals who are suitable for dynamic, customer-dwellers and technical roles.”
Terror analysis shows that most of the contractual partners are in the early stage of their career, of which 60 percent have experience less than two years. The report states that it, in collaboration with age and merit distribution, reflects continuous dependence on the admission level professionals of the region.
Meanwhile, according to another report, rural consumers are emerging as a structural driver to adopt internet and increase data consumption, user towards Indian telecom companies and to redeem this trend, telecom companies are strengthening rural connectivity, which will help in expanding their data consumer and returns.
According to the Crisil Ratings report, in the four calendar years ended on 31 December, 2024, internet access in rural India has increased from 59 percent to 78 percent, which is ahead of urban areas, where it has increased from 77 percent to 90 percent.
