Telangana government refuses to take funds from Ad. Group: Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has demanded a strict investigation on the allegation of bribe of Rs 2200 crore leveled against Ad. Group by the US prosecutor. In support of which Telangana State Government has received Rs. It has been decided not to accept donation of Rs 100 crore.

Telangana Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Rajan has informed Ad. Foundation Chairperson Preeti Ad. in writing that, ‘Following the allegations of bribery against Ad. Group in America, the company had offered Rs. Funds worth Rs 100 crore are being returned. This fund was taken for Young India Skill University to develop skill potential among the youth. Congress-ruled Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, “The state government has allocated Rs. Donation of Rs 100 crore will not be accepted. There is no pressure on us to decline donations. Keeping in mind the allegations against the group, we have taken this decision in the interest of the state.

 

Decision taken to keep the state away from controversies

The state government has imposed a fine of Rs 50 crore on Ad. Group. This decision has been taken to stay away from controversies after allegations of bribery of Rs 2200 crore. Rahul Gandhi also wanted to arrest Gautam Ad. immediately. It also clearly directed its ruling states that, ‘State and Central Government should issue transparent invitations for tenders. In a democratic country tenders should be allotted following due process. Be it Ad., Amb. or Tata. Many comp.es have given funds for Young India Skill University. Ad. also gave Rs. to Telangana state government. There was a proposal to give Rs 100 crore. But after these allegations, Telangana Ad. Group got Rs. Will not take funds of Rs 100 crore.
