As per the notice, the concession has been provided to enable Muslim employees to perform their necessary religious prayers during the sacred period. However, the order specifies that this relaxation will not apply in cases where the employee’s presence is required for urgent work or essential services that may arise during the timeframe.

Meanwhile, the Minorities Welfare Department (MWD) in Telangana is making extensive arrangements at historic mosques, including Makkah Masjid and Shahi Masjid, for the holy month of Ramzan.

Special provisions are being made for worshippers, including Taraweeh prayers, and 2,250 kg of high-quality dates will be distributed to key mosques in Hyderabad, according to a report by TNM.

Officials, including Special Secretary Tafseer Iqubal and Director Yasmeen Basha, have reviewed the preparations, and permission has been granted for Jalsa Youm-ul-Quran every Friday at Makkah Masjid.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Waqf Board has released Rs. 15.37 crore to clear two months’ pending honorarium for 10,700 imams and muezzins, ensuring they receive Rs. 5,000 per month after a four-month delay.
