Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah went toe toe against each other in the nets ahead of the Pink Ball Test against Australia. The Pink Ball Test is scheduled to begin from December 6th in Adelaide and Team India’s preprations are in full swing as they look to take 2-0 lead in the series.

Recently Rohit Sharma & Co even locked horns with the Australian Prime Minister’s XI in the Pink Ball Test, winning the rain-curtailed fixture by six wickets in Canberra. Both Bumrah and Kohli decided to skip the match.

During the warm up fixture, Shubman Gill cleared doubts about his thumb injury with a fantastic fifty, whereas Rohit Sharma scored just 4 runs after coming into bat at No 4. Harshit Rana who had an impressive Test debut at Perth and picked four wickets here to strengthen his credentials as a wicket-taking bowler. It was a 46-overs-a-side affair, which India won by chasing down an easy target of 241 in 42.5 overs, but they carried on batting till the end of the final over.

What happened when India last faced Australia in Pink Ball Test?

The last time India locked horns with Australia in a pink-ball Test, the visitors lost the game by eight wickets after getting bowled out for 36 in the second innings. It also marked Kohli’s last appearance as India’s Test captain.

Afterw inning the Perth test, India will be focussed on maintaining their winning momentum. The visitors will aim to consolidate their lead in the series. On the other hand, Australia have an impressive record in day-night Tests. Known for their dominance in pink-ball cricket, Australia sees this match as a golden opportunity to level the series and reassert their strength on home soil.
