The Indian Women’s Selection Committee has announced the women’s team for the ODI series against Australia. The ODI series between the two teams will start from December 5. After this, the second match of the series will be played on 8th December while the last match of the series will be played on 11th December. The first two ODIs will be played at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, followed by the final match of the series at the WACA Ground in Perth, which is part of the ICC Women’s Championship.

Team in-charge Harmanpreet

Harmanpreet will captain Team India for this series, while opening batsman Smriti Mandha will play the role of vice-captain. The selection committee has included Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh in the team as wicketkeepers. The star opener of the Indian women’s team did not get a place in the ODI team for the Australia tour. The reasons for Shefali’s exclusion have not been officially known, but it is believed that her poor performance in the last series could be the reason. Shefali scored 56 runs in 3 ODI matches against New Zealand.

Harleen returns after a year

Harleen Deol, who managed to make a place in the national team after almost a year, has also got a place in the team for the ODI series against Australia. Deol last participated in the three-match home ODI series against Australia in December 2023. This season, he was not included in the team for the home series against South Africa and New Zealand.
