Mumbai: A shocking video has gone viral on social media, showing a man sitting on the roof of a taxi after a hit-and-run incident. The post accompanying the video states that it was taken on the Santacruz flyover. According to witnesses, the man climbed onto the vehicle’s roof to prevent the driver from escaping after being hit.
In the video, the taxi’s registration number is visible as MH 03 AX 0199. Bystanders reportedly requested the taxi driver to pull over, but he ignored them and continued driving. The man on the roof stated, “The taxi driver hit a vehicle and was trying to run away.” The video also shows the taxi’s front windshield shattered into several pieces.
However, the Santacruz and Vakola police have stated that they have not received any reports about such an incident so far. The video was uploaded on Instagram 11 hours ago. The dramatic visuals highlight the chaos and desperation of the situation, drawing attention to road safety and accountability.
