Tata Motors, the leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, has announced a price hike of up to 2% across its range of trucks and buses, effective from January 1, 2025. The company will vary depending on the model and variant but will apply to the entire commercial vehicle lineup.
In another recent development, Tata Motors has achieved a remarkable milestone by selling 15 lakh trucks in the Intermediate, Light, and Medium Commercial Vehicles (ILMCV) segment, becoming the first Indian manufacturer to reach this landmark. To mark the occasion, the company has introduced new variants of popular models, including the Tata SFC 407 Gold, Tata LPT, Tata SFC 709G, Tata LPT 1109G, Tata LPK 1112, and Tata LPK 1416.

Additionally, Tata Motors is offering special financing schemes targeted at first-time buyers and a 6-year extended warranty on all ILMCV trucks, ensuring greater reliability and customer satisfaction. Tata Motors’ ILMCV segment includes trucks with a gross vehicle weight ranging from 4 to 19 tonnes, catering to the diverse demands of industries such as agriculture, e-commerce, construction, and logistics. These vehicles are designed for fuel efficiency, offering operators reduced ownership costs and minimum uptime.
In addition to its commercial vehicle segment, Tata Motors has announced a price increase of up to 3% across its passenger car lineup, including both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EVs), effective January 2025. The company cited rising inflation and higher commodity costs as the primary reasons for the hike. The adjustment will vary by model and variant. ICE models impacted by the increase include the Tiago, Punch, Altroz, Tigor, Nexon, Curvv, and Harrier. The price revision will also effect EVs, including the Curvv EV, Nexon EV, Tiago EV, and Punch EV.
Tata Motors is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup with three new models by FY2026: the Harrier EV, Sierra EV, and Avinya. The Sierra EV, scheduled for launch in the latter half of 2025, will utilize acti.ev platform, , which also underpins the Curvv EV and Punch EV.
