The ingredients required to make soya tikka masala
1 cup boiled soy chunks
2 tablespoon oil
1 tsp cumin
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 onion (finely chopped)
1/2 bowl tomato puree
1 capsicum (chopped)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
3 tablespoons roasted gram flour
1/2 bowl yogurt
1 tsp lemon juice
Taste salt
Method of making soya tikka masala
Step 1: Mernet Soya Chunks
- Boil water in a pan and add soy chunks to it and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- When the chunks swell well, squeeze the water and keep it aside.
- Take curd in a bowl and mix it with roasted gram flour, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt as per taste.
- Add boiled soy chunks to it and mix it well and allow marinates for 30 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare Masala
- Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
- Now add finely chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste and fry till it becomes golden.
- When the onion is cooked well, add tomato puree to it and cook till it leaves the oil.
- Now add turmeric, red chili, coriander powder and garam masala and mix well.
Step 3: Add soy chunks and cook
- Now add marinated soy chunks and mix well.
- Add a little hot water as per the need and let the gravy cook on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
- Finally add lemon juice and turn off the gas.
Method of serving
Garnish the hot soy tikka masala with coriander leaves and serve with paratha, roti or kulchha.
