Once again the robbers have become fearless in Bihar. 8 robbers entered the Tanishq showroom at Gopali Chowk in Ara Bazar in Bhojpur district and carried out the robbery. The robbers looted jewelry from the Tanishq Jewelery showroom in broad daylight and emptied the entire showroom. All the people entered inside with weapons. Employees and customers were taken hostage. Jewelry worth more than Rs 25 crore was looted in just 20 minutes.

 

Police is investigating on the basis of CCTV.

Police have seized CCTV from the showroom. In this, criminals are seen inside the showroom for 20 minutes and during that time they rob jewelery worth more than Rs 25 crore. The police have laid siege to the entire city. After watching CCTV, two police teams have started a search operation in Diara area. It is also learned that two robbers running after the robbery were shot.

 

Attack on salesmen

According to the police, as soon as the Tanishq showroom opened in the morning, two miscreants entered the campus in disguise the customer. As soon as these criminals entered inside, they took the security guards present there hostage at gunpoint. Meanwhile, three more criminals entered inside. These miscreants took the salesmen and other employees present in the showroom hostage at gunpoint and kept them standing in one place. After this, the rest of the criminals started collapsing in the showroom.

Questions raised on police functioning

Simran, a sales girl at the Tanishq showroom, said that as soon as she suspected the robbery, she immediately called 112. But even before the police arrived, the criminals escaped after carrying out the crime. According to the salesman, he called the police 25-30 times, but did not get any help.

After the robbery incident, a team of police including Bhojpur SP reached the spot and started investigation. SP Shri Raj informed that criminals are being identified and SIT has been constituted to catch them. But the police of the city police station, located just 600 meters from the showroom, could not reach the spot during the robbery incident, due to which questions are being raised on the functioning of the police.

Encounter with criminals in Bhojpur

When the criminals were running towards Doriganj via the roof, then the Bhojpur police got information about it. The police of Barhara police station tried to stop criminals near Babura Chhoti Bridge. Where six criminals riding on three bikes started firing on the police. In response, the police also opened fire, in which two criminals were injured. The injured criminals have been identified as Vishal Gupta (father Bhuneshwar Prasad), resident of Dighwara in Saran district and Pradeep Kumar (son Kunal Kumar), resident of Semra village in Sonore. Police have also seized weapons and some stolen jewelery from the scene.
