Material:
- Ripe pigeonpea and moong dal
- Tamarind
- Jaggery
- red chilli
- Turmeric
- Oil
- Mustard
- Cumin
- Curry leaf
- Sweet masala
- Coriander
- Garam masala
Action:
- To make a sour-tank tamarind jaggery, first take half a bowl of moongdal and half a bowl of arhar dal in a cooker and soak it for some time.
- Then add water to the cooker and cook the lentils till one whistle comes. Soak tamarind in a bowl of water.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry it with mustard seeds, cumin and finely chopped garlic. Then add curry leaves to it.
- Then add red chili powder and turmeric and mix it. Then add coconut masala and fry it.
- After the masala is cooked, add the dal mixed with it and boil it.
- When it boils, add tamarind juice, finely chopped jaggery and salt as per taste.
- When the lentils are cooked well, then finally serve finely chopped coriander and serve. The sour-sweet tamarind jam made in a simple way is ready.
