Agra Taj Mahal : According to recently released data by the Government of India, the Taj Mahal has been the highest grossing monument among the ASI protected monuments through ticket sales in the last five years.

 

Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was asked in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, ‘How much has the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) earned from the sale of entry tickets in various monuments in the last five years?’ Provide year -wise and monument wise information and which monuments have earned the highest revenue from the sale of entry tickets in the last five years? He answered this question in writing.

The Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.

The minister gave this information in a written reply to this question, in which data was shared as a tabular form for the cycle from FY 19-20 to FY 23-24. According to the information, the Taj Mahal has topped the five years. This miracle of Mughal architecture was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th century and is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.

 

Delhi’s Qutub Minar finished second in the year 2019-20

According to news agency data, Agra Fort was second in FY 2019-20 and Qutub Minar of Delhi was third. In the financial year 20-21, Tamil Nadu’s Mamallapuram and Surya Temple (Konark) memorial groups were ranked second and third. In the financial year 23-24, Delhi’s Qutub Minar and Red Fort were placed second and third.
